DANGERS OF LIVING A HURDLE LESS LIFE

Living a hurdle less life may seem appealing at first glance, but it can lead to several potential dangers and pitfalls because hurdles are far deeper than what we see them for: they are a test to our depth, width and might. While it is natural for individuals to desire ease and comfort, constant smooth sailing without facing any challenges can hinder personal growth, create a false sense of security, and limit one's ability to handle adversity.

It is important to recognize the potential drawbacks of a life devoid of obstacles.

Stagnation and lack of personal growth

Overcoming challenges is an integral part of personal development. Hurdles force us to step out of our comfort zones, learn new skills, and adapt to new situations. Without obstacles to push us, we may find ourselves stuck in a state of complacency, lacking the motivation or drive to explore new opportunities and expand our horizons.

Lack of resilience and coping mechanisms

Facing and overcoming challenges builds resilience and equips us with the necessary skills to handle adversity. It is through overcoming hurdles that we learn problem-solving, patience, perseverance, and adaptability. Without these vital abilities, we may struggle emotionally and mentally when faced with unexpected difficulties, leading to feelings of helplessness and anxiety.

Unrealistic expectations and disappointment: A hurdle less life can create unrealistic expectations about the world around us. When we never face obstacles, we may develop a skewed perception that everything should come easily and smoothly. Consequently, when we do encounter difficulties, we might be ill-prepared to handle them. These unmet expectations can lead to frustration, disappointment, and a diminished sense of self-confidence.

 Limited self-discovery and personal fulfillment

Overcoming challenges often leads to self-discovery. It is through facing obstacles that we learn more about our strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities. By avoiding hurdles, we miss out on opportunities for personal growth and self-improvement, limiting our potential and depriving ourselves of a deep sense of personal fulfillment.

 Lack of appreciation and gratitude

Struggles and hurdles often provide valuable lessons and serve as reminders of the things we may take for granted. When life becomes hurdle-free, we may lose sight of the blessings and opportunities we have, leading to a decreased sense of gratitude and a diminished ability to value the small joys in life.

Shallow relationships and lack of empathy

Overcoming hurdles often requires collaboration, support, and understanding from others. By avoiding challenges, we may miss out on building meaningful connections and developing empathy for others who are facing their own struggles. Overcoming obstacles together can strengthen relationships, foster empathy, and create a sense of community.

It is important to note that while a hurdle less life may seem tempting, it is through overcoming challenges and navigating obstacles that we grow, develop resilience, and find fulfillment. Embracing hurdles as opportunities for growth is crucial for our personal and emotional well-being.

Go scale some hurdles!

BLEEDING OF THE MIND

The worst form of injury to have is an internal bleeding. When someone has a fall, after checking for a broken bone or ruptured body part, doctors check for internal bleeding because it's as deadly as any deadly injury you can think of. Doctors being wary of the implications of an internal bleeding recommend multiple scans to be sure there is none. Bleeding  of the mind does not just occur, it is triggered by  the traumatic experiences you've  had in life, the harsh events that you've been subjected to, you have had damaged mental vessels, disfigured  thinking patterns, broken emotional lines; vessels that have become ruptured due to the twist and turn of life thereby leaving you with heavy bleeding inside. This bleeding of the mind is most times caused by betrayal, rejection, setups, repeated  failures and all that. As opposed to surface bleeding, bleeding of the mind is not visible. Most times even the victim is not aware of it. Signs that you are exper...
