WHY DO WE ENCOUNTER DEFEAT AND HOW TO DEFEAT OUR DEFEAT

Defeat is an integral part of  the success journey.

He who has become successful today has had a romance with defeat yesterday.

No success story is complete without a touch of defeat. Defeat is an ingredient needed for the success story to be complete.

Defeat on a serious note is never sweet, it leaves a sour taste on your lips. Defeat never accompanies with it a good feeling. No one is happy when he faces defeat. It can be paralysing that if not faced with a strong resolve, has the potency of crippling your every dream and aspirations.

WHY DEFEAT?

Since it is an established fact that defeat has a crippling effect on my dreams why am I always faced with defeat?

Defeat is an opportunity to learn, test your resolve and the solidity of your plans and dreams for life. Defeat, is like the rain that falls on a just completed building. Sweet thing about defeat is that it comes to everyone irrespective of your background. It is not selective.

Defeat is life's own way of shaking you.

When the rain beats the house, if the foundation was made sure it will stand else we would wake up to a collapsed structure the next day.

Want to learn to defeat your defeat? Let's learn!

1. ARISE FROM YOUR DEFEAT

Yes, you've been beaten down, battered, shattered and everything but why sit at the aisle of defeat and lose the years ahead of you?  Treat this defeat as a failed school assignment, that teaches you a lesson. Arise and shake yourself off the defeat, it's trauma and effect.

It is normal to cry but do not sit back too long, get up!

2. RECOGNIZE THE DEFEAT PATTERN

Before anything gets bad there were mistakes made, signals ignored etc. These series of events are called a sequence or pattern.

Defeat is not a one day thing, it had begun years, weeks or days ago; a blind eye was just turned toward it.

Trace back to the beginnings (where and how it all started) will help in defeating defeat. (A journal will help you with this)

3. BE GRATEFUL FOR THE LESSONS

Every defeat is a lesson leading to a process. Take few minutes to be grateful that you are on your way to something that can change your life and world. See every defeat as an opportunity and be grateful for it.

You must clear your mind of the past years failures so you can be ready to take on new tasks and challenges. The mind, our mind is likened to a house, where activities go on every minute. If someone is not walking from room to room, another is listening to some loud sounds, another may be talking, some people may be reading, others sleeping, another sweeping or doing laundry. The mind is like this too. Minute by minute, thoughts come in seeking asylum, we remember things and take in new images for filing. To achieve maximum productivity this year, we must take time to clear our minds of its old memories. This is not to forget them but to remove the grip they might have on how we undertake new challenges and opportunities. Why clear your mind? Practical Tips for Cultivating a Meaningful Prayer Life

Prayer, abused, misunderstood, misused. What has prayer not seen? Yet, prayer is one powerful tool of life.  We all pray, we all make requests. Everyday we talk to people and ask for things. BUT WHAT IS PRAYER? Prayer has a simple definition, it is talking to someone, it is making a request from a being superior to you.  The fact that we have needs and seek help every now and then means we must pray.  THE CONCEPT OF PRAYER I always cherish my frequent visit to the Court House on days I am able to.  When you enter the Court Room, you'll understand the concept of prayer better. When in the Court room, you'll hear the judge say 'let me hear your prayers' He/she is simply saying how can I help you. The judge is simply saying; 'you are in a fix, you have a heavy heart and no one is giving you a listening ear but I am here to listen to you.' Prayer was initiated because the frailty of human became too visible and as generation passed on, the need to maintain a consi...
