UPDATE IS NEEDED

I woke up this morning to a notification on my phone, about thirteen applications were seeking update. I have always skipped the updates to be reminded later but the device constantly reminds me to update the system and the applications. We all have devices,  gadgets, machines (whatever works for you) and these are used constantly or periodically. They have their different functions and render the services they  have been programmed to offer. From time to time, these gadgets or machines ask for update or require upgrade for optimal functionality. Man is known to be the mother of machinery or technology(gadgets) and because of his constant usage, is daily required to update for excellent performance. If your social media applications require update periodically how much more you? THE WORLD IS EVOLVING  It is an error to be in this ever evolving generation and not update. Most of us are still thinking jet age when we are in the Gen Z era. This time AI's are ruling the world...

THE BLESSING OF DISSATISFACTION

Have you ever woken up in the morning and despite the cool air blowing, and the chirping of the birds around, you feel angry and discontented with the happens around you? I have countless things felt the same way too. One time, I got home and merely looking around, I felt disgusted and mad. Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I'll you a failure -Thomas Edison  As the years roll by, I have begun to understand  the blessing of dissatisfaction . Dissatisfaction means the feeling of displeasure or disappointment. It is the feeling that something is not as good as it should be. Man as a being had this funny attitude of always acclimatizing to any situation he is in. When the situation looks insurmountable, he settles. Very few people have the ability to propel themselves back to their feet to try scaling out of that situation: a large number of humans relax and are swallowed. One synonym for dissatisfaction is discontent. It is widely believed that when you feel disconte...

MY STRUGGLE, MY ESCAPE: 5 BOOKS THAT HELPED ME FIND HOPE IN MY BLACKOUT SEASON

Life is strategically shaped by some factors. Life is shaped by our experiences, background, family, friends and even the books we read. Mine has been shaped powerfully by books. In the year 2019, after being dealt with by life. I had been seeking admission into the university and not getting anywhere despite several tries, I gave up hope and lost confidence in myself. I was livid and disappointed. Those who I taught and helped during the examinations has a smooth glide through yet here I was, begging for acceptance. It was my down, down time. Thank God for the gift of books. Today, I want to share with you 5 books that helped me find hope. NO EXCUSES by BRIAN TRACY This was my first step to revival. The author focused on self actualization,  and self mastery as only a man who has knowledge of who he is and has gained mastery over himself can excel exceptionally in this world. The author made me see I was a corporation of my own and how well I treat myself determines ...

THE GIFT OF DEFIANCE

How and when did you first hear the word defiance? I want to assume it was in a context of that person is nasty and defiant.  For years, we have focused on the negative definition of the word 'DEFIANCE' and as a result we are stuck at the limited versions of ourselves. Society has always termed men who are defiant as proud. Imagine the things said of Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Aliko Dangote, and every other man who has led a defiant life; not stopping where people say they should stop, not tying themselves to the general belief system. THE PATTERNS OF LIFE Life gains pleasure in breaking you, it gets thrilled when you succumb to it as a slave does his master. Life, always wants things to go it's way not yours. That is why it creates a cycle or pattern which it ensures is followed accordingly. Society has subtly created patterns across every sphere of life. There are places where you are not permitted to dream bigger than the scope you can see. Something happened when I w...
