WATCH!!

Dear twenty something, it is with great joy I come your way again.

How is your walk with God? Is it going smoothly or have you like everyone hit the rocky patch?

When you gave your life to Christ, heaven was happy, she rejoiced greatly and there was celebration ,a heavy one: it shows how special you are.

Your walk with God is a delicate one and as such you should treat it delicately.

I feel the need to share with you today, certain things and areas of our Christian life we should watch over.

We will treat this teaching in series so brace up and let's enjoy learning.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

                                         1Pet 5:8 (NLT)

YOUR HEART:

The first area we should watch over is our heart. Prov 4:23

God was so particular about the the heart that in Prov 23:26 He demanded our hearts . Knowing that the heart being the seat and center of emotions has a certain level of control over a person's action He made it the first requirement if we are to have a working relationship with Him (God).

WHY GUIDE THE HEART?

Anything that has control over the heart, has gained control over the body.

We claim to take decisions with our mind right? But 80 percent of the decisions we take are influenced by our emotions. Since the heart is this important, it has a stake in the decision making process of our lives.

God is interested in our hearts, the devil is interested in our hearts. Knowing that emotion is a powerful part of man, we ought to be careful what gains entrance to our seat of emotions (our hearts).

It is the heart that does the work of synchronizing, connecting with God and His word, people and others.

As young Christians, we should be careful what we allow our hearts sync with, who we allow our hearts sync with because who or what you sync with gains complete data of who you are and you also gain complete data of who that being or thing is.

Just as in phones, when you sign in your email or iCloud account to a phone, there is a synchronizing process were the details on the email or iCloud account reflects on the phone. The phone numbers saved on the account automatically reflects on the phone. So when you allow your heart sync with God and His word, the devil or anything at all, you automatically carry their traits, lifestyle and habits.

Be careful what and who you give access to your heart because anything that has access to your heart has gained access to your life and can control your actions.
